Diablo III cinematic trailer revealed
Written by Guillermo Ramos
Sunday, 29 June 2008

The day has finally arrived where the ice melts away and the heavens peer down on our planet with eyes filled with hate and destruction. At last the legends are true, the coming of a new generation of Diablo will tie gamers down to their PCs for years of gaming ecstasy.

The almighty Blizzard has announced with its voice of grandeur the next coming of a game that will sell millions of copies on the first day of release. The time for Diablo III is here.

There were doubters (yes everyone point at me) and there were people who leaked information onto the powerful gossip machine we call the Internet, but in the end, when the game is announced from the mouth of Blizzard, it just has to be true.

Can you hear that? Thats the sound of hundreds of pants being washed in the washer because of what this announcement has done to many gamers across the world. So in case you haven't seen what all the excitement is about, I present you with a gameplay trailer that will no doubt make you smile gleefully.

The Plush Life
Written by Armando Aceves
Friday, 06 June 2008

The Plush Life is a new short film by Timothy Heath, the resident animator/artist on the Gelato team at NVIDIA. The 3-minute short is the first in a series of animated films from the Gelato team. Follow the adventures of Lundo and Flint as they go about their plush lives. Long-time coworkers and buddies, Flint and Lundo deal with what life brings them as cogs in a corporate machine. This first short follows the pair on the way to work one Monday morning where Lundo, who has had a button added to his nose over the weekend (the plush equivalent of a nose piercing), loses the new button and some of his stuffing after a big sneeze.

The Plush Life was rendered with Gelato Pro 2.2 using Autodesk Maya and Shave and a Haircut to produce Flint's and Lundo's plush surfaces.

Sony not denying possible 'Sony Wiimote'
Written by Guillermo Ramos
Wednesday, 04 June 2008

Sony steals right? Their systems include rumble technology, motion-sensors, wifi, but is it really stealing or borrowing good ideas? Now what if Sony started to make a controller that was exactly like the Nintendo Wii-mote?

Would that be stealing or utilizing an idea? Either way, Sony has declined to comment on speculation that it is making its very own Wiimote-style controller for PS3.

Reports suggest Sony ran secret focus groups in the US at the beginning of the year--console owners were shown the motion-sensing device. According to PlaystationLife the remote was "incredibly responsive and accurate." Some of the titles that were shown using this new controller featured tennis, fencing, and paintball, all with pinpoint accuracy.

MGS4 has 90 minute cutscenes
Written by Guillermo Ramos
Wednesday, 28 May 2008

Have a comfy chair? Good. How about extra bags of popcorn and pop? Excellent. Because once June 12th hits, and MGS4 is spinning snuggly inside the drive of happy PS3's across the world, gamers are going to have to endure cut scenes which reach a mind boggling ninety minute mark; feature film length.

Yes, that is a plural. There is more than one cutscene of this duration.

PSW Magazine said of the scenes, "MGS4's story is massive. The videogame equivalent of all three Godfather movies on one disc. As you'd expect, you'll spend a lot of time watching cut-scenes, so if you found previous games' story exposition laborious, then you'd better find yourself a nice cushion and plenty of teabags in readiness for MGS4's."

Written by Guillermo Ramos
Friday, 23 May 2008
